Omar graduated with his Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting in 2008 and later attained his CPA in 2012. He has worked within various areas of finance for several Fortune 500 companies prior to starting Virjee Consulting in 2013.
Omar is entrepreneur by nature, starting his first company when he was 16 years old. In 2013 Omar and his wife Sarah started Virjee Consulting with the idea of building a CPA firm that helps small businesses save in taxes by delivering unique tax strategies fit specifically for their business. In 2018 Omar and Virjee Consulting were selected to be part of the Goldman Sach’s 10,000 small business program. In 2019 Omar earned his CTC designation, as a Certified Tax Coach from the American Academy of Tax Planners. In 2021 Virjee Consulting was ranked as one of the top three reviewed accounting firms in Houston.
During his free time Omar enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball with friends and traveling to new destinations.
Sarah graduated from the University of Texas Dallas in 2010 with a double major in Accounting and Finance. After graduation she worked with BNY Mellon in Toronto, Canada as a Fund Accountant. She started Virjee Consulting, PLLC with her husband in 2013 where she currently overseas all of the Accounting and Payroll functions of clients in multiple industries. In 2018 Sarah earned her Enrolled Agent certification which allows her to represent clients before the IRS.
During her free time Sarah enjoys photography, painting and traveling.
Abbey graduated with his Masters in Accounting from Federation University in Australia in 2015.
He joined Virjee Consulting in 2018 as an Accountant. Due to his hard work, attention to detail and care for clients Abbey was promoted to Senior Accountant in 2019 and Team Leader in 2020. Abbey oversees all of the Accounting staff at Virjee Consulting. During his free time Abbey is an avid cricket player and enjoys riding motorcycles.
Humza graduated with his Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance in 2018 from the University of Houston. Since joining Virjee Consulting in 2019, Humza has quickly moved up to a senior accounting position due to his ability to assist clients in developing strategies to reduce their tax burden. Humza is currently sitting for his CPA exam.
During his spare time Humza enjoys playing basketball with his friends and watching Houston sports.
Carly joined Virjee Consulting as a tax intern in 2019. She graduated from the University of Houston with her Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting in 2020, right in middle of the pandemic. After graduating Carly continued her career with Virjee Consulting as an Accountant I. She has a bright personality and is always looking to give her clients the best solution.
During her spare time she enjoys baking and spending time with family.
Abdul graduated from the University of Houston in 2018 with his Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting. Abdul joined Virjee Consulting in 2020 as an Accountant. Prior to joining Virjee Consulting Abdul was an Accountant at a local Accounting firm where he assisted clients with their monthly financials. After joining Virjee Consulting, Abdul has taken greater responsibility over client tax strategies and financial reporting. Abdul enjoys helping clients make sense of their numbers and taxes. Abdul is currently studying to sit for the CPA exam.
During his free time Abdul enjoys working on his cars and going to car shows.
Noor graduated from York University in Toronto, Canada in 2010 with a Bachelors in Economics. He gained experience working in operations and software solutions for various companies.
Noor joined Virjee Consulting in 2021, successfully rolling out several projects for the firm. He was promoted to Operations Manager in 2022 where he oversees all aspects of practice operations from recruitment to software solutions and spearheads software projects and enhancements for the firm.
During his spare time Noor loves to work on his classic Supra and attend car shows.
Lautaro is a senior at University of Houston, studying to complete his Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting graduating in May 2022. After graduation, Lautaro will be joining the PPA program at UH to earn his Masters in Accounting, while preparing to sit for the CPA exam. Lautaro is a bright and friendly team member. Lautaro is passionate about numbers and eager to dive into our tax program! He looks forward to working with you. In his free time he enjoys watching soccer and baseball.
Andrew joined Virjee Consulting in the summer of 2022. Prior to working at Virjee Consulting, Andrew worked at BDO USA, LLP, one of the largest CPA firms in the US as an auditor. Andrew completed his Bachelors in Accounting from the University of Houston in 2017, then followed that with completing his Masters in 2018, and later earning his CPA in 2020. Andrew is a client driven professional and enjoys working with clients to increase their profits and reduce their tax liability. During his free time Andrew enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
Rene joined Virjee Consulting in the summer of 2022. He completed his Bachelors in Mathematics with a Minor in Accounting from the University of Houston in 2022. Rene is detail oriented and driven to make sure his clients receive the best tax planning. During his free time Rene enjoys spending time with family.
